“It Takes a Village” — Building BioLabMate with Community Support
Great to be part of the Hatch Blue presentation at Cold Harvest and to reconnect with mentors, cohort members, and many people who have supported our journey.
As Wayne Murphy shared, “it takes a village to raise a child.” The same can be said about building a startup. It takes mentors, partners, customers, researchers, ecosystem organizations, and people who are willing to share their experience and help founders move forward.
We are especially grateful for the support we continue to receive from the Newfoundland and Labrador community as we work on a serious challenge: reducing conventional single-use plastics through seaweed-based material solutions, starting with laboratory and medical applications while also exploring opportunities in aquaculture and other ocean-related sectors.
A big thank you to Wayne Murphy, Hatch Blue, Oceans Advance Inc., Newfoundland and Labrador Aquaculture Industry Association, our mentors, cohort members, and everyone supporting BioLabMate’s journey.
It truly takes a community to turn an idea into meaningful impact.
